Back in July 2014 Le Tour de France made it's Grand Départ from the UK. Its final stage before heading over the Channel to resume on French roads passed through London finishing at The Mall. This set of pictures is of the fleeting Hackney section of that final stage, as it enters Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and passes the Copper Box (all 1.3 km of it!). It was short but sweet, blink and you'd miss it. As you can see though, East London turned out in all it's diversity to cheer them along...in spite of the typical British summer weather!
